This ground-up, 5,300 sq. ft. contemporary residence is located on a rarified corner that looks directly across to the Palace of Fine Arts, juxtaposing a warm minimalism with the landmark.

Throughout the home stunning views of the adjacent Palace, and the Marina, Bay and Golden Gate Bridge are showcased through wide folding glass wall openings and large windows. The ultimate, panoramic views are found on the rooftop deck with glass railings, firepit and hot tub.

Being so close to the Bay, care was required to build new construction given the Marina’s seismic liquefaction zone; in this case a structural system with helical piers and mat slab foundation.

Elevated interior finishes include integral color plastered walls, a paneled foyer with pivot door, travertine walls, Tadelakt waterproof plaster in the bathrooms for a sleek aesthetic, and a custom backsplash in the bathroom handmade by Linda Fahey Artisanal Mosaic.
