Composed views are embedded in the experience of arriving at and moving through the property. Large picture window openings, retractable exterior walls and french doors, and continuity of stone flooring all connect the interior and exterior.

We installed a funicular that travels from street level down to the waterfront, with two stops at the home’s living levels. Other key infrastructure includes stainless steel on the exterior for coastal weathering protection, large solar array and bank of backup batteries with load shedding capabilities, fresh air heat recovery ventilation system and generator back-up.

An elegant, cantilevered stair with steel-and-glass structure ascends three stories with adjacent cast glass bridges, modulating light into deeper portions of the house. The integrated wood slatted screen is subtly unique on each floor, and the wall surfaces distinguish each level through CNC-milled reveals and backlit Corian artwork.

To achieve the directive for an exceptionally quiet interior, we built dense floors and walls, used acoustic materials on ceilings and walls and installed custom doors and ductwork to mitigate ambient noise.

The sound-proof music studio on the lowest floor is completely separated from the structure of the home by vibrationally isolated walls, ceilings and floors.

The family room opens up completely onto a terrace with pool that features a spa and swimming jets. At the waterfront a new dock with fast charger is at the ready for the owner’s electric boat.
